How it's made
Every Suvene piece starts as a sketch in Berlin and is made in a family run textile house in Turkey. Yarn, cut, seam, finish. All of it happens under one roof.

One workshop instead of five suppliers
The house we work with has been making cloth since 1990. It stayed in one family, and the craft was passed on from one person to the next.
Most brands split production across five or six suppliers. We did not want that. Everything from the raw yarn to the finished piece happens in one place, with the same people.
That is why we can change something the moment it is not right, instead of sending it down a chain and hoping.

Why it matters where a piece is made
When production sits in one house, nobody can pass the blame. The person who knits the fabric knows the person who sews the seam.
We visit, we watch, we ask. Nothing about our production is a story we were told over email.

Our heavyweight cotton runs at 550 gsm, close to double the weight of an ordinary sweat. It takes longer to knit and it costs more.
You feel it the first time you pick a piece up, and you still feel it after fifty washes.
Made with materials we can stand behind
All our fabrics have one thing in common. They are built to survive the years, not the season.
100 percent cotton where cotton belongs. No filler, no coating that looks good for one wash and then goes flat.

Fit and sizing
Our basics are cut with room in the shoulder and the sleeve. Check the size chart on the product page before you order.
A note on sizing
If you are between two sizes, take the smaller one. The fabric relaxes, it does not shrink out of shape.

Patience, quiet, and people who have done this for thirty years. Nothing about it is fast.

Designed in Germany, made in Europe. The region has a long textile tradition and we are staying with it.

Quality over quantity
Every new style is tested before it is released. Fit, seams, shrinkage, and how a piece holds up after being washed again and again.
If a sample does not pass, it does not go out. Our basics keep their shape, and they come with a multi year warranty.
Packaging without plastic
Recycled materials only, from the box down to the tissue paper inside.
Every piece is scented with the exclusive fragrance of Suvene, so the box smells like the brand before you have opened it.
